The YangSheng retreat is inspired by the Daoist YangSheng "life nourishment" practices and teachings. The purpose of this retreat is to discover, plant and nourish seeds within that lead towards good health, vitality & happiness.
Taught by Kate & Henri Lebedev, whom have travelled the world dedicating their lives to studying the internal arts of QiGong, NeiGong, TaiJi, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yang Sheng, Daoism, Buddhism, Yogic practices & more..
Activities are designed with a rhythmic flow, changing from theory to practice to rest.
The event is hosted at Te Moata retreat centre, located near Tairua town in the Coromandels (www.temoata.org). Te Moata includes 344 hectares of native forest, further surrounded by national parks and conservation areas. Pristine beaches are a 10 minutes drive away, and the glorious Cathedral Cove is >30 mins away. Te Moata has a fresh water spring running through the property, supplying the centre with (triple filtered) fresh spring water. Beautiful gardens, nature corners, waterfalls and swimming holes, fruit and vegetable gardens are dotted all around the land of Te Moata.
Price includes accommodation at the Centre in single, double and dormitory rooms (and a few little forest cabins). There are a few cottages available for modest extra fee.
